At Scale

I think humans, as a species, at a certain point in time and by way of innate traits, environmental conditions & population pressure, stumbled onto being able to do certain things at scale — civilization, if you will. There have been horrors that came along with that ability. “Culture” for millennia, I suspect, is just the layered and necessary psychological avoidance games in response to those horrors.
